Out for a walk with the boys. Porter's mode of transportation is different with every walk.
Sweetness went back to sleep one night on my bed. He rarely ever sleeps in our bed and generally if I bring him in our bed in the morning to try to get him back to sleep, it doesn't work.
Porter adamantly told me these were his jeans. Even after putting them on he never changed his stance. You be the judge.
Porter loves whenever he gets a chance to sleep in our bed. If David's on call, he'll say, "Dad's on call, can I sleep in your bed?"
Learning to turn on the lights. He stretches up so high on his tippy toes.
Getting his first real, full haircut. He looked so cute in the cape and he looked especially handsome when it was all done.
We headed to Church Fork Site up Millcreek Canyon with friends from the Tenth Ward. It was so good to see old friends. Here's Alli Boothe with Max and Porter. Max and Porter are two peas in a pod. They play hard, laugh hard and cry hard together.
I invited Mallory Stahl from our current ward with her little boy Fischer. Come to find out, she grew up with Alli in Bountiful. Small Mormon world.
Playing in the creek. Julie Issacson spearheaded this whole get together.
Going on a "hike". Alli was helping the boys search for signs of bears. They thought this was pretty cool.
Porter's T-ball team.
Up to bat.
Hanging out on the base.
Heading for home. He didn't always make it. Sometimes he just decided to skip home and go from third base straight to the "dug out" with his team or over to me to ask if the game was over yet and if it was time for snacks. Pretty sure his favorite part of t-ball were snacks and playing with the other kids. Although, he did love running to get the ball when it was hit even if that was after he hit it.
Heading to first base.
Proud little T-ball player.
Testing out his ride down the hill.
Watering our tree making sure it gets all the nutrients it needs to grow.
We met Alli and kids up Little Cottonwood Canyon. We were venturing up to hike Cecret Lake, but when we got to Alta, the rode past was closed and there was still tons of snow. Instead we found a great little hike and some rock scrambling near the bottom of the canyon. The kids loved it and showed their manuevering and climbing abilities.
Looking down.
We were eating and we turned around and somehow almost silently the kids had climbed up this rock. Alli went to rescue them since for all we know there was a cliff over the other side.
David took Jonas for a stroll in the backpack while he mowed. Jonas did not have the same immediate love for the ride as Porter did. Jonas gladly got out and Porter gladly took his place. At least maybe this is one thing they won't fight over. Jonas doesn't like loud noises at all.
Porter had his first swim lesson! I signed him up for 8 lessons at Fairmont Aquatic Center. Since he is comfortable in the water, but can't swim at all, I signed him up for the very beginning class without parent participation. He loved it. He looked like a ping pong ball in the water because he can't ever sit still.
Stickering himself all up with band aids. I'm not really sure why I buy kid band aids. They rarely all make it to an actual wound.
Holding sweet baby Evelyn Clayton. He did so good holding her. Maybe if we have a baby girl he will be that sweet.... We can only hope.
Gayle thought it would be fun for the boys to decorate a Mickey cake again. I thought it would be fun too.
Josh, Lindy and Jacob Silverstein came to town and invited to Jacob's 3rd birthday party. It was so fun to see them and meet Jacob again now that he's all grown up. They had a Curious George pinata for all the kids to hit and Porter was all over it. He would have swung and swung his heart out if there weren't other kids that wanted a turn too.
T-ball picture day.
So handsome.
Prepping for his debut as a T-ball player. He's ready.
