Catch Up

David was on service for 10 days straight so Porter and I held down the fort.  It was a really busy week for David so we didn't get to see him much.

We have just been getting ready for Christmas and the baby.  Poor Porter has had to run LOTS of errands and go shopping.  He will grab my wallet now, go to the back door and say, "Shopping".  I'm not even a shopper, so clearly this shows that we have been shopping too much.

Here is our week in pictures:

Porter likes to hide behind the table when he poops. He will say, "Hiding, hiding."  We all know exactly what he is doing.

Everything we do is copied.  I clip Porter's fingers nails over a paper towel.  The other day I was getting ready and I heard Porter get up on the kitchen table.  I came to check on him and found him with a paper towel under his toes and the clippers in hand.

Our dear friend Gayle has been spoiling Porter again.  She got him a toy that is reminescent of my childhood.  My grandparents had this toy at their house and all the grandkids loved it.

She also picked up a big talking Olaf.  He is Porter's new best friend.  He dances with him and wants to cuddle with him at night.  We watched our first movie with Porter the other night, "Frozen".  It was amazing that he actually sat still for a large majority of it.

For Thanksgiving, David actually got to break away from the hospital and was able to join us for dinner.  I was grateful for this!  We had dinner with our dear friends, Alli and Dustin Boothe, and Dustin's family.  With family far away, it is great to have friends that include us and make us feel part of their family.

For Thanksgiving, Porter helped make a "cherry pie".

Me 36 weeks pregnant (Nov 27).  Unfortunately the little man is still breech so I am having an external cephalic version done tomorrow.  We'll see how this goes.  I am hoping for him to be turned so I can avoid a c-section since there is only one physician that will attempt a breech delivery and the risks to both mother and fetus are probably not worth the attempt.

We finally got around to getting a Christmas tree and starting to put up decorations.  I love Christmas, the music, the decorations, the spirit and excitement in the air.  This year Porter is old enough to understand and participate in things.  It is so fun to teach him about Christmas and to see him get excited. I can't wait for Christmas morning to see him open his presents.  We are fortunate to have my parents and Ashley both coming for Christmas.  Our first year hosting... and hopefully we'll have a new little boy with us.
