Exhausted

When you wake up multiple times over night and then get up at 5:30am ready for the day, by 11am you are already on nap #2!  After our walk, I realized Porter had fallen asleep sometime during the last 10 min.  Unfortunately his naps only last about 30 minutes.

Angel Bear

Porter has started to grab his little stuffed animals and pull them around with him.  He loves them and kisses them (aka mauls them).  This morning David picked him up after his nap and he was standing in bed holding his little angel bear.  It was Porter's first gift given directly to Porter.  Our friend Peggy visited us at the hospital when he was born.

Love his angel face.

This boy screams and squeals all day long.  He is such a happy, busy boy.

Mother's Day

Year after year I have celebrated Mother's Day, but it has never been as wonderful as this year when I finally became a mother.  Porter has made me the luckiest person in the world to be his mom.  I could not ask for a sweeter, easier, more joyful baby.  And what makes it even better, he knows I am his mom.

Halloween 2013

Halloween was somewhat uneventful around here.  Porter and I went to the Stake Trunk or Treat the night before, but felt a little out of place since we weren't trunk or treating.  We just planned on meeting a friend and walking around with her and her little boy...but they ended up having to leave right after getting there.
Then on Halloween we planned on trick or treating with friends, but the whole family ended up getting sick.  So, instead we threw Porter in the bathtub and let him have at it.  He LOVES the bathtub and I am pretty sure that was way more fun for him.  He squealed and played and splashed.

Happy Halloween from Dr Bailly and Little Dr Bailly!

Our little Doctor in Training.

Being a doctor is exhausting.  He was wiped out.

Hard Work

Porter and I tagged along with David out to Hingham, MA on May 11th to "help" one of David's attendings with some yard work. David got Porter all dressed up and ready for work.

First time wearing shoes.

During our outing, it started raining. Part of the job was hauling off a bunch of weeds/brush to the local dump. David and Dr. Mancuso decided to drive the car down in the yard to pick it all up. It went down easily, but unfortunately did not come back up as easily. They got stuck. Porter and I watched from the kitchen windowseat as the SUV wheels spun and spun kicking up mud, but going no where. Porter and I said lots of prayers that they would finally get out. And they did. Unfortunately I don't know if the grass in that part of the yard will ever be the same. Oops!
