Text Update (9/20/17)

Here's a text update I sent to David today:
Successful shopping trip with Mason and Jonas.  Jonas jabbered the whole way through the store, ate and stopped to dance.  He picked up a sticker from the fireman shopping and had a lady say he was so cute she wanted to take him home.  Seriously, he was so funny.  And he can TALK.  It's in caps, because he talks a lot and loud:).
And Porter wrote a letter to "Emma" in preschool.  It's says he misses her and thanks for being a great big sister:)!?
Last of all, Mason had the most massive blow out of all blow outs.  We both had to change clothes and wash them.  It even warranted a bath.
That's an update on your crazy boys.

I have a few more updates on Porter.  When he played t-ball over a year and a half ago there was a kid on his team named Juano (sp?).  He was shy and didn't really play with the other kids.  We'll for the longest time Porter has talked about this kid and how he doesn't like him.  I've tried to figure out why and tell him how this boy was nice and shy and needs a friend.  Finally today Porter said he is not mad at him anymore.  And he confessed he was mad because Juano didn't smile at him!!!!  Talk about holding g a grudge.  Watch out world, don't get on Porter's bad side.  He will not forget.

Stair Crawler (9/18/17)

I was in the guest room folding blankets and Mason was in the family room.  I heard his sweet swirl and realized it sounded like it was coming from upstairs, not the family room.  I ran out of the guest room and up to the kitchen to find him in the kitchen.  I thought David had come down and carried him up.  David said he didn't, but Mason had climbed the stairs all by himself and was so proud of himself and squealed with joy.  That kid!  I'm so glad he didn't fall! He definitely has opinions, likes and dislikes.  He'll sqwack at theblys if they are bugging him.

My boys (9/15/17)

I love, love, love my boys.

Porter and David are best friends.  Porter is definitely still one of a kind.  His emotions are still big.  But in some ways I can see him maturing.  I can shop with him and tell him 'no' and he'll put things back and come with me.  He negotiates and uses all my lines in me.  "You can give me candy or let me watch a show, which one?"  He likes Caitlyn in his preschool class and told me he wanted to marry her.  He has learned the power words "he" and "is".  Although "is" initially tricked him and he thought it was spelled "iz".
He learned about gravity and he said it's the stuff that makes you fall or stay on the ground.  Porter is growing.  He doesn't fit in size 4 very good, so we are starting to buy size 5 clothes.  And size 6 (huge) underwear because there is no size 5.
Tonight I told Porter not to get big.  He said, "I'm going to get big at some point."
Jonas is a gem.  He is funny and sweet.  He says please and thank you.  He'll quickly say sorry when he gets in trouble.  He tries so hard to be like Porter. He wants to be big and you better not tell him he's not.  He smiles easily and is generally pleasant. He can whine, so we're working on that.  He is a big help and cheerfully does it.  It's a little easier to redirect his tantrums.  People offer him things... Gatorade, sticker, etc and he'll say, "I don't need that.", "I'm alright (okay)".  People are always so surprised when he says that.  The first time he did it I laughed.

Mason is adorable.  He's busy and curious.  He sticks all kinds of things in his mouth.  He has stood unassisted once.  I'm pretty sure it was a fluke. He stands up and walks around things or pushes things and walks.  He still wakes up 2 or 3 times a night :(.  And sometimes he wakes up between 5:15 and. 5:45am.  Not my favorite. Good thing he's so darn cute.  Today while I was feeding him I couldn't believe how big he is.  All I could think about was that I grew him. Pretty cool.  He is 9 months tomorrow!!

I need to write more frequently about my boys.  They are our life.  We adore them.

Is Santa Real? (9/14/17)

We read "The Night Before Christmas" this morning.  After reading it, Porter asked, "Is Santa Real?"  I asked what he thought and he said no.  He thinks the presents magically appear.  Don't lose the wonder of Christmas yet little man.

September 4th, 2017

This am David's and I both enjoyed nice, fast runs.  While I was running david and the boys were "training" getting in and out of the car faster and with less struggle.  We then enjoyed time at Parley's Park.  This afternoon we swam.

While swimming Porter tried to walk on water several times. He would walk off the edge of the pool and after no success he couldn't figure out why Jesus didn't want him to. (He's seen the Bible video of Peter and Jesus walking on water.)

Then we can contrast that with Jonas giving me two options to choose from like I always do to them:
"You can give me sausage or I'll punch you in the face, which one?"

Mason is getting his first tooth FINALLY!  It's the bottom, left tooth.  I started feeling it last week.
