This is Jonas' new face.
First day of mudding... it actually looks like we did a decent job. Thank goodness for a great mudder! David said they could do wonders.
It's coming together.
And the boys are off.
Are these two brothers or what?!
39+ weeks pregnant (12/10/16). Doesn't it look like I dropped?
Ward Christmas Party. All the primary kids singing "Picture A Christmas".
Jonas just walked around eating candy canes. He was a sticky mess, but happy.
Mr. Serious and Intense. He had to dress up in his ninja outfit for the party.
Porter immediately found the sword and shield and proceeded to carry it around the entire party.
Dressed up handsome for church.
Haircuts all around for these boys. Who cares if they now look like characters from Dumb and Dumber :).
David's PICU party was at the movies. They rented out the theater and we watched "Moana" and had Coldstone afterwards. It was a great party. I was worried Jonas wouldn't sit and watch the movie but he did remarkably well and only got restless near the end.
There was a raffle for the kids and the adults. Porter was really disappointed that he didn't get picked for the kids, but David's ticket was picked. Porter jumped up and ran to the front of the room to claim his prize. He was so excited. David and him picked up a box of mint cookies.
They did a special story time at the library all about cookies. Then Harmon's grocery store donated gingerbread men, frosting and candy to decorate. It was adorable and the kids loved it. My kids were more interested in eating the candy than doing much decorating. Porter did manage to put a few pieces on his gingerbread man with a little bid of frosting.
3 happy boys.
The night before (12/15/16) I headed to the hospital for Mason to join our family. I had a Favorite Things party to attend with a bunch of ladies from the ward. It was a lot of fun. 40 weeks pregnant and feeling large!
Prior to my favorite things party we went on one last outing as a family of 4. We looked at the windows at Macy's and then headed to Temple Square to see the lights and the Statue of Jesus. I love this little family of mine.
Greta watched our boys for a few hours the morning I went in for my induction. Jonas got really sad at one point, so she facetimed us. Jonas was crying but he calmed down and then she sent me this picture right after we got off the phone to show me he was okay. I was so grateful for good friends and Ash that watched the boys for us so that I didn't have to worry about them being in good hands.
The boys had a sleep night over with Ash the night Mason was born. They built a fort and Ash was brave to let Jonas join in on the festivities. He doesn't go to sleep so well if he's not "caged" in.
Smoothies for breakfast. Yum!
Ash brought the boys up to see us. Of course Porter fell asleep in the car because he didn't take a nap.
More progress in the bathroom. The quartz was installed! Yeah. Now just the glass and final plumbing has to be done.
Mason is home! He came home on 12/18/2016. Just in time to see the boys before they went to church. I loved having my family at home all together.
Me and my new baby. I've spent a lot of time in my pajamas and hanging out around the house. Luckily Ash and David have been around to entertain and take the boys out. I have loved the time to get to snuggle Mason and get to know him. The transition this time around has seemed so much better. Breastfeeding still hurt, but I'm now only a week+ into it and the pain is almost completely gone. Whoo hoo! Maybe Mason is that much better latching or maybe I'm getting better. Either way, I'll take it. I've showered every day. Mason sleeps pretty good and generally eats every 3 hours. He's had a few rough nights, but for the most part I can't complain. I have actually even felt so good that I want to get out there and start running, but I know I need to give myself a little bit of time. At least 2 weeks, right?! I have yet to take all the boys out by myself, so we'll see how that first adventure goes.
Mimi and Papa sent us this delicious flower bouquet. We ate it all up.
Loving his baby brother. Jonas now seems so big to me. I always thought he was such a peanut, but a little baby is the best way to make everyone seem bigger. Even Porter keeps commenting on how big Jonas' hands are.
Jonas holding Porter like a baby.
Practicing his painting skills while Dad and Porter do some painting outside.
Sweet baby Mason. Porter keeps wanting to see his eyes. Finally he gets to see them.
His first Dr's appt. He cried most of it. So sad. He did have some weird canker sore or ulcer at the very back of his mouth. Luckily he hasn't had a temp and I haven't seen any more sores. So, I'm hoping it was nothing. He weighs 7 lbs. More than he did when he left the hospital so that's also good news. My milk has come in.
Tummy time and his big brothers wanted to join in on the fun.
He sleeps like a Lower with his mouth open.
Brothers are the best. I'm so glad that Porter loves him so much.
Snuggling and taking a nap with a new born is the best.
And then everyone is trying to pop balloons. Luckily only one kid was successful.
Christmas Eve we made pinatas. It was messy and fun. We learned a few things about how to make it better next year. But we made the pinatas for the elves to fill if the boys were good this past year.
The bathroom is almost done!!! The plumbing is completed, now we just need to clean the bathroom and wait for the glass to be installed for the shower and it will be a fully functioning bathroom. There are a few minor touch ups needed, but overall, it's almost done.
Merry Christmas from these sweet boys!
Porter and Dad went to Grand America during nap time to see the life size gingerbread house.
Porter and Dad went skiing. David said it was packed, so they only went down twice, but Porter still loved it and only fell once. (12/23/16)
Painting the pinatas.
The boys must have been pretty good because the elves filled their pinatas with candy.
Christmas morning. First we read the Christmas story together. I hope the boys always remember why we celebrate Christmas. That they remember our Savior, His birth and what that means for us.
The boys happily opened presents. Porter helped Jonas a lot and fortunately Jonas was okay with getting the help.
We had a major snow storm on Christmas day and must have gotten over a foot of snow. It was beautiful. Church was cancelled and we stayed inside together all day.
Mimi and Papa gave the boys a karaoke machine and they loved it. They have spent a lot of time singing. Although, Porter does not like if Jonas "slimes" the microphone. This happens because Jonas basically sticks it in his mouth while he sings.
Doing "ghostie" with Aunt Ash.
David took Porter over to Hillside to play with friends during nap time. They built snow forts and went sledding. Porter took off down the big hill all by himself and loved going fast and hitting the bumps.
