On the way to the appt, Porter stopped to read while we were on the elevator. We went from floor 1 to floor 2. Not sure how much reading he got done.

Anatomy Ultrasound and Reveal (7/26/16)
Today was the day to find out if our suspicions about a girl were right. Our baby was not shy and made it extremely clear that boys are what we produce! Porter was disappointed that we saw a "penis". I was a little sad, but not too sad. I guess the changes I felt this pregnancy are just because I'm getting old:). The scan took a long time since out sonographer was new, but Ashley came along and was able to entertain the boys out of the room at times. For the most part I think they did extremely well. Jonas spent much of it sitting next to me holding my hand. He must have been worried about me:).
Potty time again (7/26/16)
David is at it again with potty training. He thinks we should get Jonas started. I do not agree.
Jonas was out play with Porter and somehow... Wound up with dirt all over. Supposedly he wanted it. I'm not quite sure I agree with that.
College Days (7/27/16)
Today I was able to meet up with Laurie (Apken) Jarvis from my BYU days. We met at Wheadon Farm Park in Draper, UT. Great to see her and how her kids have grown.
The park was fun too although it was blasted hot and there wasn't a lot of shade.

19+ weeks pregnant (7/25)
Still feeling great, although a little thick. Still running around 4.5 miles 5x/week outside. I've decided after running yesterday at 5am, it feels so much better to go that early before the sun gets up and it's too hot. Although, then I definitely need a nap.
Pioneer Day (7/25)
We celebrated Pioneer Day and started it off with David running the Desert News 10k with Dan. His first race in a long time. He did awesome. His pace was 7:35/mi. Not bad!
Later that afternoon we had a BBQ with the Griffith's, Kirry's and Murdock's. Then headed to a Bee's game. It was a great night. We left Jonas at home for the game since it started at 7pm, but Porter came along and had a blast. He rode the safety train at least 4 times, got a Tiger Blood shaved ice per his request and was just a joy to have at the game. Sometimes it's so fun to have a date with just one kid and both parents. But, we still missed our sweet Jonas.

Major catchup (5/19/16-5/30/16)
Sometimes I get so far behind in blogging the post ends up being a bunch of random photos and not much info. But, I'd rather get the photos on the blog and move on fresh. Unfortunately for my kids they will not have all the great stories and memories because I was a great recorder keeper.
Too early in the morning for this kid and me. He loves putting his blanket in his mouth. I was hoping he would go back to sleep. I don't really get lucky that often.
Brothers. Jonas feels really big getting to sit next to Porter on a big boy chair.
(5/25) Julie Isaacson, Alli Boothe and Mallory Stahl and I set out on another hike. We headed up the Living Room Trail right up on Research Park. There was a bit of crying along the way. Mostly from my tired Jonas because I skipped his morning nap so we could meet up for the hike. Not always a good idea to miss those naps. The rest of the kids did pretty good. We didn't make it all the way to the top, but we did hit the first look out and it was still a pretty great view and the kids loved it.
These boys felt pretty victorious to reach the "top".
I'm definitely have some lagging energy especially when hiking with a backpack carrying a small child :). Gotta love pregnancy.
Alli was psyched to hit to the top.
Maddy was worn out. Good thing she has a great place to sleep.
Jonas has taken to driving or at least messing with all the buttons in the car. Things are now often found left on in the car. I think our battery has only died once. Cross our fingers.
You can't really tell, but the blanket is in his mouth.... again.
Future scuba diver.
Getting ready to be a scuba diver.
So excited to be going home teaching with Dad. He actually volunteered to give a lesson and told David's home teachee about Daniel and the Lion's Den.
This is more from our hike to the Living Room.
If you gotta go, you gotta go. Nature is the perfect place.
(5/27) We went up to Church's Fork for a bonfire with the Stahl's, Griffith's and Knight's. Of course the kids loved running around. It was way colder than I expected, but it was fun to relax and hang out in nature.
(5/28) Ash came up for the weekend so we decided to try the Living Room Trail again and see if we could actually make it to the top. Not sure what happened, but Porter was not having it. He literally stopped every couple of feet to say he was tired and needed to rest. This time we didn't even make it to the first look out point before we headed home. I'm not even sure if we made it half a mile. Usually Porter is a great hiker, but he must have been really exhausted.
Me and my little boys at the end of the hike. We might have made it a whole mile. If even that.
Out for a walk and enjoying the dandelions.
Porter's first team picture. He looks so handsome.
(5/30) For Memorial Day the boys were excited to have a flag in our front yard.
All kids love the hose. It doesn't matter how wet or cold you get.
Playing with Olli at his house. These little pools are the best for young kids.
That evening we headed to the Griffith's for a BBQ and to relax. It was a great Memorial Day. We are grateful for all those that sacrificed for our country and for our freedoms and for those that continue to do so daily.

Baby kick
Pretty sure I felt the baby move for the first time tonight... Of course right as I'm trying to go to bed. Although I've been seeing my body physically change, actually feeling the baby makes it seem more real. Porter always wants to feel the baby move, so hopefully he'll get a chance soon.

The talking machine
Jonas says everything now and his words are so clear. I finally got him to perform while the video was recording and we got some good words in his sweet little voice.
Jesus
Temple
Porter
He even says "I love you". And, "Hey Guys".
