Happy Sabbath!

We enjoyed our last morning with "Ass", as Porter so lovingly calls her.  He really does adore her and asks for her all the time.  Unfortunately he just can't say the "sh" combo yet so it comes out as the sweetest cuss word ever.

Porter's speaking has exploded this last week.  He says everything.  Two new words are "cook" and "ice".  He obviously has a sweet tooth like his momma because they stand for cookie and ice cream.  I'm kind of proud that we can enjoy yummy treats together.

Our neighbors have a human hamster ball that they stored at our house this evening so Porter and our friends, the Griffith's enjoyed it.

 Porter preferred the outside.... Either pushing people in it or getting tossed on it by David.

We pulled out Porter's new pool and he loved it.  He could care less that the water was freezing.

Visitors

Our house has been full of life since we moved in.  A friend, Jahi, has stayed with us the last two weeks and then we have had lots of visitors.  Our latest visitors were John, Kandy and Keara Buck.  Keara is starting her first semester at BYU!  

Porter loved playing with Aunt Kandy and Uncle John.  

And we found berries in our yard, so Porter has started berry hunting.   It is so fun to watch him search for the berries.  He is very serious about it.

Growing up

Besides still drinking from a bottle (milk must be in a bottle), this kid is growing up.  He slept in his new twin bed last night.  He woke up this morning, came out if his room and came upstairs to our room all on his own!  

He is growing up too fast!  And he is starting to say everything and help with everything.

We were busy again today.  Porter had a Dr's appt, we ran errands, we took Ilena to meet up with the Price's to drive back to Oregon, we had the Boothe's over for a BBQ and the Buck's showed up to bring Keara to BYU.

I am exhausted!

Weekend Getaway

We headed up to our friend's lodge this past weekend.  It was gorgeous up there.  We hiked a little and ate way too many sweets!

Tonight Porter has become the escape artist for real.  He now not only gets out of bed, but gets out if his room.  Life really is over.

All boy

Porter is definitely all boy.  He loves to play hard and I have heard more times than I can count , "He is the busiest kid I have ever seen."

Playing with his buddy Max.  They have a love/hate relationship.  There is always tears and laughter when these two are together.

He learned a new trick. He will hang and basically do an ab workout.  He is a riot!

First week

During our first week in our new house, we've had visitors, gone to the zoo, explored the playgrounds around our house, are at the Italian festival at a church a few blocks away and survived having David gone to Chicago.

And enjoyed treats and gifts from new neighbors.  We have some good ones!

Porter has been spoiled this last week from new and old neighbors.  He got a pool...seriously.  Nicest neighbor ever!

Enjoying the good life

Big Week

I hit 20 weeks pregnant and know that we are having another little boy.

Porter turned 18 months today!

The perfect 18 month birthday for Porter is being surrounded by bikes.  We watched the Tour of Utah Day 6 start at Rice Eccles Stadium.  Porter tested out the strider bikes.  I think he's still a little too young, but soon.

And we closed on our new house!  Crazy to be home owners.  It is a cozy, reverent home with a beautiful backyard.

Tonight we played a little croquet... Or attempted to since Porter wanted every ball.

The load

Tonight we started loading up our stuff for the move.  While people were here helping, our neighbor Gayle and I took Porter down to the gym and pool.  His diaper got a little loaded from all the water.

19 weeks

I am 19 weeks, 3 days!  Crazy that I am almost halfway there.  Yesterday was the anatomy ultrasound and we found out the sex of our baby.... That will follow in a later post:).

Yesterday morning Porter and I took a walk through the cemetery close to our house.  There are often deer, so I had high hopes we'd see a few and Porter would be thrilled.  We were not disappointed.  I think we saw 11.  Porter was going crazy.

We'll have to do this more often!
