Pregnancy: Round Two

This second pregnancy has been a little different from the first.  I'm not sure if it's because I already have a kid or because I am not working, so I'm more aware of when I am tired.  But, I have been exhausted.  I take a 1 1/2- 2 hour nap almost every afternoon when Porter naps and I am ready for bed around 9p.

I also feel like I have gained weight so much faster.  Seriously, my clothes are already fitting tighter and I have a nice "gut", not a cute pregnancy bump like last time around.  This should be interesting:).

Before I knew I was pregnant, I was also incredibly irritable and lost my patience super quick.  Poor little Bubba and David had to deal with a cranky, frustrated person for at least a week or two.

The exciting part if pregnancy... I am pretty sure I felt the baby move today.  It's a little early, but since I know what it feels like, I am more sure to recognize it.

Catch up

We have been busy this last week getting ready for Grandma and Grandpa Bailly to come visit and then enjoying them while they were here.

Porter had his 15 month Dr's appt.
W: 23 lb, 14.4oz
H: 31.5"
HC: 45.8cm

He is in the 65th-ish percentile for height and weight, but only the 20th for head circumference!  He does have a little peanut head that is jam packed full of brains.

New reading spot.

This is how I find Porter when I get out of the shower.

Wheeler's Historic Farm:

He loved to read and has recently started sitting down with a book by himself.

He keeps me on my toes.

Enjoying a ride before dinner at The Red Iguana.  Love that place!

Loving the fountain at City Creek Mall.  He didn't care that he got all wet.  He was in heaven.

On the escape.  Check out the face.

New found joy.  Escalator riding.

Enjoying a drink from the water pitcher.  Porter doesn't care if it has dirt in it.

Must have

Today while we were out at the park, two people commented on Porter needing a fenced yard.  And, during our house hunt, this has been one of the "must haves" on my list.

Porter has so much energy, he goes and goes all day, and he loves being outside.

He went down the biggest slide at the park yet.  It actually made me nervous because it was so much steeper and higher than anything else he's gone down and of course he has to go down by himself.

When we got home today, this is the sweet face a saw...

Age appropriate toys

Porter always manages to find the age appropriate toys:).

Our little animal

It's supposed to rain a couple days this week so we decided to take advantage of the nice morning and head to the zoo. Our friends came along.  Porter and Max loved running through the zoo.  We didn't see much, but they had fun, so that's what matters.

Since Porter has now mastered climbing, he can be found at the keyboard "practicing".  I hope he wants to play.  While "practicing", he did take his first big fall to the hard floor below.  Fortunately the crying didn't last too long.

For Nurse's Week David brought me this yummy treat:

Gutsy

Last night at around 9:50pm our car window was bashed in and David's work bag and wallet were stolen.  We live in a condo complex with garage parking and security cameras.  I watched the surveillance footage and saw the individuals (3) drive up, park next to our car and saw one of them get out.  This is the second time this has happened at our complex since we moved here.  The first time 3 windows were bashed and this time two windows.

The saddest thing is that David lost his work notebook containing his research notes, meeting notes, etc.... Stuff that is not replaceable.  His I-pad was also in the bag and a big bag of candy bars for a presentation he was doing today.  I hope the guys teeth rot from eating the candy bars:).  Just kidding.  It does make we wonder about who these people are, what are their lives like.

On a happy note. Porter really is a climber now.  He is scaling the fireplace hearth at a quick pace over and over again.  He is proud if himself!

Squealer

Tonight we went on a walk after dinner.  Just up the street from us is a high school and there was a boy's soccer game playing, so we stopped by to watch.  Porter was laughing, squealing, clapping and flirting with the girls nearby. You would think he had some idea what was going on in the game.

The loudest, happiest fan at the game.

After we left the game we ran into some neighbors.  While we chatted Porter watched a dog at the park and threw leaves.
